The wreath for the topping out is up: Mayor Klaus Kreß and BUWOG celebrated the ceremony for the BUWOG DAS GRÜNGOLD new-build project in Bad Nauheim together with the builders and purchasers. The new development comprises 79 apartments for every generation.
BUWOG DAS GRÜNGOLD consists of a total of five apartment buildings and comprises 79 apartments with one to four rooms, balconies, terraces or private gardens, all of which have already been sold. Completion is expected by the end of 2022.
BUWOG Managing Director Eva Weiß:
“With the BUWOG DAS GRÜNGOLD ensemble, we are creating sustainable housing for every generation. Today we would like to thank the builders for their successful, accident-free work.”
BUWOG is incorporating a number of sustainable qualities into the new construction project. The windows, for example, have a positive ecological footprint and have been regionally sourced. This secures local jobs, reduces delivery distances and, as a result, CO2 emissions. When selecting building materials, from the very start of the tendering phase, attention was also paid to sustainable materials such as concrete from climate-neutral production and FSC-certified wood for the outdoor facilities. Green rooftops on all of the buildings improve the urban climate and have an insulating effect. Green rooftops are also a habitat for native birds and pollinating insects. Permeable pavement and sod in the outdoor areas allow rainwater to return to the natural water cycle.Bad Nauheim has an economic and purchasing power that is above the national average. Quality of life is ensured by the attractive old town, parks such as the nearby Goldsteinpark, the historic Sprudelhof and the graduation building, more than 100 kilometres of hiking and cycling trails and a wide-ranging cultural agenda.
