Double award: BUWOG wins the 2025 German Brand Award

For the seventh time BUWOG Bauträger GmbH has won the German Brand Award. Operating throughout Germany, the project developer for residential real estate has won an award for the Sustainable Brand of the Year as well as in the main category of Excellent Brands – Real Estate & Property.

BUWOG has approximately 55,000 apartments under construction or in planning throughout Germany. The company’s sustainability activities include, in particular, the use and promotion of CO2-reducing construction methods, environmentally friendly building materials, innovative energy concepts, and concepts for non-motorised mobility, which can already be seen in numerous BUWOG developments. BUWOG will realise at least 20 percent of its development pipeline as sustainable timber buildings in the coming years. Serial, systemic, modular construction is also becoming increasingly important as the basis for a circular economy and affordable housing. BUWOG has now won the German Brand Award as Sustainable Brand of the Year, presented by the German Design Council.

At the 72nd German Brand Awards ceremony in Berlin, BUWOG also received another trophy: As in 2023 and 2024, BUWOG was recognised as an Excellent Brand in the “Real Estate & Property” category. The company maintains a nationwide presence with cross-media image campaigns, attractive advertising aimed at land acquisitions, and the BUWOG podcast, now in its 10th season, communicating the company motto of happy living across all channels.

We are therefore delighted to have once again received the German Brand Award for BUWOG’s sustainable qualities experienced in our developments and for the cross-media strength of our brand.”

A few days previous, BUWOG had already been honoured at this year's European Real Estate Brand Awards. The Europe-wide study by the EUREB Institute showed BUWOG has brand value of 90.10 – a top score in the industry benchmark.
