In Kilianstädten and Bad Nauheim, BUWOG has completed two new construction projects with approximately 160 apartments. In the new year, the transfers will be concluded and moving in can begin.

BUWOG has been constructing the BUWOG KILIANsHÖHE development with 82 condominiums in Kilianstädten since 2020 and has completed it just eight months following the topping out. The development consists of two-, three- and four-room apartments, distributed across eight apartment buildings with energy standards in accordance with level two of the 2016 Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV). The rooftops of the buildings will be extensively greened, and attractively designed outdoor spaces featuring play areas for children will create a place to gather and socialise. As part of the sustainability agenda, the windows have a positive ecological footprint and are sourced from the region, which reduces CO2 emissions thanks in particular to shorter production and delivery routes.

The moving vans will soon arrive in Bad Nauheim as well: BUWOG’s DAS GRÜNGOLD development in the spa town is now being handed over to its new residents. BUWOG has constructed a total of five apartment buildings with 79 condominiums here. The mix of apartments is specifically geared towards the needs of local people and the demand for 1.5- to four-room barrier-free and nearly barrier-free apartments. In terms of sustainability, the choice of building materials was based on sustainable materials from the start of the tendering stage, e.g. concrete from climate-neutral production and FSC-certified timber for the outdoor facilities. Green rooftops improve the urban climate and have an insulating effect. This, together with the permeable and grass pavers in the outdoor areas, allows rainwater to return to the natural water cycle. A rainwater retention basin connected to the rainwater drainage system was also built for this purpose.

Andreas Barth, BUWOG’s managing director responsible for the southwest: “For the creation of new residential space BUWOG is a reliable partner – for policymakers, urban society and those seeking housing. We are delighted that we can now hand over new apartments to residents in the Rhine-Main projects that have been successfully completed. For many people, the new year will begin with moving into a beautiful new home. True to our motto of happy living.”
