BUWOG ATRIO is being built in Leipzig, near the central railway station. Construction is currently underway on a new building with apartments and commercial space on a plot of around 8,500 sqm between Atriumstraße and Lutherstraße. Developer BUWOG invites you to an information day on 25 August from 14.00 to 18.00.
Where for long there was merely a dreary car park, there’s new life: a seven-level ensemble with 259 condominiums ranging from one to five rooms is being constructed on the corner of Atriumstraße and Lutherstraße. The apartment sizes cater to various groups of people, from students to families, who need plenty of space. Nearly every apartment has a balcony or terrace mainly facing the quiet courtyard areas.
Seven commercial units will be built street side on the ground floors. According to Eva Weiß, managing director of BUWOG Bauträger GmbH, this is an important element in creating a healthy mix that fits the surrounding area: “Our so centrally located neighbourhood development will generate new residential space as well as vibrant ground floor areas with room for commercial and retail businesses that serve the residential areas; these are services from which the people in the surrounding area also benefit.”
BUWOG acquired the site in 2020 from a joint venture of the project developers TOWNSCAPE and SASSENSCHEIDT and in 2021 began optimising the planning and preliminary construction measures. The first apartments are expected to be ready in 2025.
BUWOG will be holding an information day to report on the new construction project, the available condominiums and commercial space, apartment amenities and the construction timetable.
