The development is part of the modest expansion of the Nordenstadt district, in the scope of which the urban park “Hainpark” was also created. BUWOG REBOOT encompasses a total of 183 units, divided into 103 condominiums and 80 terraced houses arranged around various green and play areas as well as landscaped pocket parks. BUWOG’s project is the only one in the entire Hainweg development area that includes condominiums.

The works in the final construction phase were begun in spring 2020 by Bien-Ries and completed under BUWOG with the takeover and integration of the Hanau-based property developer into the BUWOG development. All those responsible in the project team as well as the architecture and planning remained unchanged and the project has now been completed as originally planned. Site manager Jessica Hesse-Kadlec: “We are delighted with the successful completion of this special project and its conceptual and architectural features. A significant number of the new residents come from Wiesbaden itself or the surrounding area – this illustrates the high level of acceptance for the development.”

Now in the final construction phase, 48 two-floor terraced houses with staggered floors and four apartment buildings with 52 two- to four-room condominiums are being handed over. The mix of apartments was designed in such a way that there is suitable residential space for every family size, all of which is barrier-free accessible. The conception and planning of the apartments were handled in cooperation with architecture firm Atelier5 of Bern (Switzerland). The terraced houses were planned in-house by BUWOG’s architects. In addition to architectural quality, the focus is on sustainability. The windows, for example, have a positive ecological balance and were sourced from the region. When selecting building materials, from the very start of the tendering phase, attention was paid to sustainable materials such as concrete from climate-neutral production. Only FSC-certified woods are used in the outdoor facilities, as are pavement and sod that allow rainwater to seep away.
