BUWOG is planning a multi-storey residential and commercial building in Elstal on a site measuring around 15,400 square metres on Rosa-Luxemburg-Allee. With a total of 192 rental apartments, nine commercial units for restaurants, retail and services, and a 400-square-metre green town square with a water feature, seating and meeting areas, a new district centre is to be created. An Edeka supermarket with almost 2,000 square metres of retail space is planned as a local supplier. In addition, 325 parking spaces for residents and businesses are to be created in an underground car park and in the open spaces.
All 1- to 4-room apartments will have a balcony, underfloor heating and a fitted kitchen. Of these, 89 apartments will be designed for age-appropriate senior living. In addition to accessibility, services provided by a specialised operator are also planned. The energy concept envisages a climate-friendly and largely self-sufficient heat supply that relies on environmental and solar energy with ice storage technology, heat pumps, heat recovery systems and photovoltaics.
