The Offenbach project was developed on a remaining area of the listed old slaughterhouse, on the southern edge of Offenbach's city center. Two building angles, slightly twisted against each other, are grouped around a central courtyard. The buildings stand on a common underground parking garage.

With a building depth of around 18.5 meters, floor plans were developed that are derived from Le Corbusiers' Unité d'Habitation. The apartments, which are interlocked one above the other in this way, each open to the east and west. The daily routine lived in them moves with the sun, as it were, from east in the morning to west in the evening. The great depth of the building also offered the advantage of achieving a good ratio of volume to outdoor area. This, in turn, combined with decentralized ventilation systems and a heat recovery system, around 30 cm of insulation and high-quality windows, resulted in energy characteristics that were around 20% better than those required for a passive house. The first building angle is completed, the second angle was completed in spring 2015.

History of the residential concept: This project was already completed in 2015 by the company BIEN-RIES, which today belongs to BUWOG Bauträger GmbH and realizes high-quality new construction projects in Frankfurt & Rhein-Main.
