GREENLEVELS, a modern, mixed-use quarter, was built on the site of the former Siemens production facilities in the Sendling-Westpark district of Munich. On an area of around 13,500 square metres, flats, social facilities, offices as well as shopping and open spaces have been created.
The five GREENLEVELS buildings surround three green courtyards with different characters, which serve as a place for everyday encounters and socialising. A total of 263 flats with 1 to 4.5 rooms for rent and living spaces of around 25 to 150 square metres have been created in the quarter. Underground car parking spaces, an in-house parcel station and attractive green spaces in the courtyards round off the GREENLEVELS concept.
Playgrounds have been created on the intensively greened communal roof terraces. Office use in the GREENLEVELS project was concentrated in the construction phase on Hansastrasse. Several shops (drugstore, pharmacy, food market) and a daycare centre round off the mix. The mobility concept includes cargo bikes and shopping trolleys. E-charging stations for bicycles and cars are located in all underground car parks.
The architecture of GREENLEVELS was designed by dreisterneplus GmbH Architektur + Stadtplanung and was honoured as RESIDENTIAL BUILDING OF THE YEAR 2021.
