DIAMALTPARK is a new urban quarter in Munich. The well-known Diamalt AG used to produce soup seasoning, among other things, on the historic site, which was previously used for industrial purposes. The approximately 79,000 m² site was redeveloped by 2022 and now houses a total of 720 flats with 1 to 5 rooms as DIAMALTPARK, as well as daycare centres, nurseries and crèches.
Some of the buildings were constructed using solid timber construction (142 residential units). In addition, large green areas have been created in the centre of the site, as well as communal roof terraces, intensively greened roofs and a range of communal spaces. In the centre of the park is the boiler house of the former factory, which has been renovated in accordance with the preservation order. A 10,000 m² area next to the S-Bahn line was preserved as a protected habitat for the local flora and fauna as part of the development.
