The building frames a large courtyard on three sides, which was designed as a garden and open space. With its courtyard, the quarter blends in with its surroundings, creating a green oasis that opens to a nature preserve to the west. The courtyard has a restrained and natural architecture that offers plenty of space for recreation, play and communication.
The project includes a large number of diverse floor plans for different living needs. A large number of maisonettes with their own house entrances increase the feeling of living "in your own house". Some of these maisonettes have been stacked in such a way that the quiet zones are on top of each other and, in this respect, no sleeping areas are disturbed by living areas above. The stationary traffic is mainly accommodated in an underground garage.
The project was nominated by the Hesse Chamber of Architects for participation in the 2007 Day of Architecture.
History of the residential concept: This project was already completed in 2005 by the company BIEN-RIES, which today belongs to BUWOG Bauträger GmbH and realizes high-quality new construction projects in Frankfurt & Rhein-Main.
