In Hamburg-Bergedorf, a new residential quarter is being built on the former historic Stuhlrohrareal site. With a mix of owner-occupied and rental apartments and an attractive environment, BUWOG is creating a high quality of living in a direct waterfront location.
The residential space being created for the growing city of Hamburg will be accompanied by residential-compatible commercial space, such as areas for retail, offices and daycare centers. The open spaces in the quarter, which are largely free of cars, are to become a versatile offer for young and old. In addition to play facilities, private and public recreational areas are planned. At the same time, the project will create a promenade along the new quarter, as well as an already public pedestrian and bicycle path connection from Bergedorf city center along the Schleusengraben into the Vier- und Marschlande.
