The architecture for DREI HORIZONTE (component E1) was designed by Stefan Forster Architekten, for the largest building by Ortner & Ortner Baukunst (component E2) and for component E3 by Karl Dudler Architekten. The DREI HORIZONTE project won the DNP German Natural Stone Award in 2024 and was the winner in the category ‘Facades with ventilated exterior wall cladding made of natural stone’.
The DREI HORIZONTE ensemble is located in Frankfurt's up-and-coming Ostend district, in the immediate vicinity of the European Central Bank (ECB). The plot size is around 3,000 m². The largest building comprises 123 flats on 16 floors, while the two flanking buildings have seven and eight floors with 34 and 51 flats respectively.
A landscaped, green inner courtyard blends in harmoniously and offers important recreational qualities. The DREI HORIZONTE residential quarter has been awarded the gold certificate by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
