At Saatwinkler Damm BUWOG realized a family-friendly quarter with about 1,000 apartments: "HALSKE SONNENGÄRTEN".

All apartments are designed as rental apartments. The focus of this new construction project is on family-friendly, larger apartments with 3 to 5 rooms. The name of the HALSKE SONNENGÄRTEN quarter is reminiscent of Berlin's industrial history: engineer and entrepreneur Johann Georg Halske (1814-1890) founded the Siemens & Halske telegraph construction company in Berlin together with Werner von Siemens in 1847. HALSKE SONNENGÄRTEN also indicates the direct neighborhood to the new city quarter Siemensstadt Square.
