New living space for Berlin is being created here. BUWOG is building around 900 attractive rental and condominium apartments in several construction phases on the banks of the Spree in Treptow-Köpenick on an area of around 60,000 square metres. The BUWOG WEYDENHOF project is currently creating 135 new condominiums with 2 to 5 rooms and flat sizes ranging from approx. 48 to 149 square metres.
BUWOG has also completed the ‘Strohhalm’ social centre on the northern side of Spreestraße, where homeless people can find accommodation, a clothing store, laundry and supply facilities, as well as additional psychosocial services from the SPI Foundation, Walter May Socio-Pedagogical Institute. (TH)
