The wreath for the topping-out has been hoisted: in the BUWOG SPEICHERBALLETT development in Berlin-Spandau the construction of a special property is making good progress – apartments for senior citizens, two dementia housing groups and a daycare facility are being built on approximately 7,160 m² of floor area. advita Pflegedienst GmbH is expected to open advita Haus Am Havelufer in the centre of Berlin’s Spandau district in fall of 2024.
In the new development, future clients will find a modern alternative to the traditional care home that will enable people to live a safe and self-determined life into old age. Short distances and the bundling of services in one place are a major benefit for people. The barrier-free apartments and the residential community offer a wide range of opportunities for living the way one hopes to, even if initial limitations make everyday life more difficult. The tenants themselves will furnish the apartments and rooms in shared housing the way they wish.
The building will offer a total of 90 assisted living apartments. There will also be two residential care communities for 12 tenants each and a daycare centre with space for 36 guests. The building is scheduled to open in fall of 2024.
