The “Glücklich wohnen” podcast entered its second season on 1 September 2022. Every two weeks there are new interviews concerning neighbourhood and urban development, sustainable building and architecture.

BUWOG launched its new media platform in May 2022. The second series of talks is now beginning following the summer break. The name of the podcast “Glücklich wohnen” refers to the German-Austrian company’s motto of “Happy Living”. Every two weeks, people who creatively, qualitatively and innovatively grapple with various real estate industry-related issues are invited for an interview on this corporate media platform.

Guests in the second series include architect, tiny house mastermind and lecturer Van Bo Le-Mentzel, founder of the Tiny Foundation (only in German), architect Anne Lampen (only in German), member of the board of the Association of German Architects, and Stefan Schwan, head of Energy & Facility Solutions at ENGIE Germany, who will discuss the energy transition.

The individual podcast episodes last between 30 and 50 minutes, in which the key issue is explored in depth with the respective expert. Further information on the projects or studies discussed are presented in the show notes as well as on the BUWOG blog at blog.buwog.com.

Daniel Riedl, management board member of Vonovia SE responsible for BUWOG operations: “We are delighted with the positive feedback on the first season and the further discussions that will now follow in the podcast. Our aim is to intensify the interdisciplinary dialogue in the industry and in society, particularly because the topics are of current relevance. There is plenty to report, from questions concerning architectural quality to the energy transition in development, issues with which BUWOG is also part of the solution when it comes to its neighbourhood developments and new construction projects.”

BUWOG currently has a development pipeline in Germany of around 55,000 residential units and specialises in the construction of large-scale developments with rental apartments and condominiums as well as accompanying sustainable amenities that impact the residential environment.

The platform is developed and produced internally by the Marketing & Communications department. As of 1 September, the new episodes of the BUWOG podcast “Glücklich wohnen” will be broadcast (in German) wherever podcasts are available and at https://buwog.podigee.io/ (only in German).
