Information on innovative planning and building to listen to: in the seventh season of the podcast “Glücklich wohnen – der BUWOG Podcast”, guests include architect Prof Almut Grüntuch-Ernst, urban researcher Dr. Felix Bentlin and diversity expert Anne Tischer.
The BUWOG podcast featuring topics concerning neighbourhood development, urban development and architecture begins its seventh season on 9 May. Episode 40 (only in German) kicks off with a discussion of women in leadership, a topic in which Anne Tischer sees a considerable remedial need for companies, particularly in the real estate industry. The women’s network she founded, FRAUEN !N FÜHRUNG (WOMEN !N LEADERSHIP, only in German) aims to improve the networking and visibility of women in top jobs. In the BUWOG podcast, Anne Tischer explains why everyone benefits from greater diversity – not least the companies themselves.
The BUWOG podcast covers a wide range of current issues and industry topics and explores trends and perspectives on construction and housing. The seventh season also features architect Almut Grüntuch-Ernst, co-owner of the identically named architectural firm, professor at the Technical University of Braunschweig and member of the Academy of Arts Berlin. In the BUWOG podcast, she talks about hortitecture, an innovative field of research that combines architecture and plants. How can these seeming opposites be brought together to plan cities that are more integrated with the natural environment in the future? Hortitecture explores the creative and constructive potential of plants in architecture and links this with questions of ecosystem performance and urban food production.
In another episode of the series, urban researcher Dr. Felix Bentlin explains the positive influence that homeownership can have on the development and sustainable transformation of neighbourhoods. In addition, retail expert Dr. Joseph Frechen from the consultancy bulwiengesa is interviewed about the current study “Ground Floors 5.0” and the opportunities for retail and ground floor living.
