Lesedauer : ca. 2 Minuten

Architect Elisabeth Endres, professor at the Technical University of Braunschweig and head of the Institute for Building Climate Control and Energy in Architecture.

The 11th season of the BUWOG podcast will present new guests and topics concerning planning, construction and housing again starting on 25 September 2025.

Every two weeks on Thursdays, there is a new episode of BUWOG’s podcast “Glücklich Wohnen”, now in its fourth year, 11th season and with over 100 guests to date, covering various aspects of urban development, neighbourhood development, sustainable construction, and architecture.

The topic kicking off the season is “low tech” as a counterplan to high-tech building technology. How can we plan and build in a simpler, cheaper and lower-maintenance way? Our guest is architect Elisabeth Endres, professor at the Technical University of Braunschweig (only in German) and director of the Institute for Building Climatology and Energy of Architecture. Professor Elisabeth Endres is presently curating the highly acclaimed German pavilion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture together with Nicola Borgmann, Daniele Santucci and Gabriele G. Kiefer, and will also be sharing her insights concerning this. Another guest is architect Peter Lorenz from LORENZATELIERS, an Austrian architectural firm specialising in urbanism, architecture and design. He will talk about urban density and the positive effects of redensification and, in particular, adding storeys to existing buildings. Professor Susanne Brorson will be interviewed in an episode on the subject of “experimental design”. She teaches and conducts research at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. All new episodes last between 30 and 60 minutes and can be found on popular platforms such as Spotify, Podigee and Apple Podcast.

The traditional end of the year is marked by a bonus episode with Daniel Riedl, management board member of Vonovia responsible for BUWOG in Germany and Austria. Topics relating to the industry and the current podcast year are classified and explored in depth from BUWOG’s perspective. Daniel Riedl: “The 11th season of the BUWOG podcast once again offers interesting topics and guests who are recognised experts in their fields in a wide range of areas of planning and construction. At BUWOG, we are part of this important dialogue within the industry and in urban society, and we are delighted to provide a forum for such professional ideas and positions.”

All of the previous topics are still available at https://buwog.podigee.io/ (only in German).
