A new residential development is to be built at Grillensee in Naunhof near Leipzig. Work is now commencing on the first phase of construction, which will feature 120 condominiums.
Naunhof is expanding: BUWOG is building a new, sustainable residential quarter on a 50,000-square-metre site. With the BUWOG FLORAGÄRTEN project on Marmorweg, the first 120 modern condominiums will be constructed in a natural environment located between the forest and Grillensee lake. The project is part of the Nuwenhöfe development, which will see approximately 300 condominiums built in three construction phases by 2029. The name of the development is based on its first documented mention, when today’s Naunhof entered the town’s history in 1223 as “Castrum Nuwenhof”.
Eva Weiß, managing director of BUWOG: “With Nuwenhöfe, we are creating a home for a wide range of lifestyles – in an environment that offers both relaxation and urban connectivity. Our goal is to combine contemporary, barrier-free living with a green residential environment and a vibrant neighbourhood.”
All of the premium one- to five-room apartments of approximately 40 m² to 120 m² in size, have a balcony, terrace or, depending on their location, a private garden area; 30 percent of the apartments are being built to be barrier-free. The six multi-storey buildings in the first construction phase are casually arranged and nestled in park-like grounds with extensive lawns. 183 parking spaces in total are available to residents in underground car parks and in the outdoor area. There are also storage areas for bicycles, prams and cargo bikes. The buildings (KfW 55 standard) are heated by climate-friendly air heat pumps and photovoltaic systems. Sales of the apartments have already begun. Completion is planned for 2027.
