“Glücklich wohnen”, or in English “Happy Living”, is the name of the new German-language podcast that BUWOG will be launching as of 19 May 2022. Every two weeks, there will be current interviews about neighbourhood and urban development, sustainable building and architecture.

BUWOG is expanding its corporate media channels with its new podcast. The name of the podcast series is based on the German and Austrian company’s slogan, “Glücklich wohnen”, or “Happy Living”. Every two weeks, people who, with creativity, quality standards and an innovative approach, interpret the slogan in very different ways are invited for an interview. In the first season, for example, the guests include sponge city expert Darla Nickel, director of the Berlin Rainwater Agency, timber construction expert Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schwarz of the Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences and entrepreneurs Anaïs Cosneau and Maya Miteva, who aim to make purchasing a home easier for women with the Happy Immo Club. The individual podcast episodes last between 30 and 50 minutes, during which the main topic is discussed in depth with the respective experts. Further information concerning reference projects or studies is presented in the notes to the show and on BUWOG’s blog at blog.buwog.com.

Daniel Riedl, member of the management board of Vonovia SE responsible for BUWOG operations:

“I am delighted that, with the podcast, we are continuing to expand the presence of the BUWOG brand and to promote dialogue, in the industry and in society: neighbourhood development and new construction are BUWOG’s areas of expertise and socially relevant issues which we’d like to have a conversation about on the BUWOG podcast.”

In Germany, BUWOG currently has a development pipeline of around 32,000 residential units and is specialised in the development of large neighbourhoods with rental apartments and condominiums as well as sustainable qualities accompanying the residential environment.

authentic content, modest branding

Ingrid Fitzek-Unterberger, director of Marketing and Communications at BUWOG:

“Podcasts have become established as part of the media set that’s regularly used in nearly every target group. BUWOG’s business produces a considerable volume of authentic content. The podcast, whose branding is deliberately modest, is the optimal editorial platform for presenting this content.”

The conception and production of the format is carried out internally by the Marketing & Communications department. Beginning on 19 May, the BUWOG podcast Glücklich Wohnen will be broadcast wherever podcasts are available and on www.buwog.de.
