BUWOG is awarded as an employer

Corporate culture, working atmosphere, family friendliness – the latest study by DEUTSCHLAND TEST shows which companies in Germany stand for a good work-life balance. BUWOG Bauträger GmbH was awarded the prize for Best Work-Life Balance 2023 and is one of the best employers in the property sector.

Which companies are particularly well positioned with respect to corporate culture, working atmosphere or family friendliness? To answer this question, DEUTSCHLAND TEST, together with the Hamburg Institute for Management and Economic Research, examined a total of around 14,000 companies from all over Germany.

The test winners published in FOCUS aktuell include numerous well-known companies such as BMW, Siemens, Deutsche Telekom and Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB). BUWOG Bauträger GmbH also has reason to be pleased: with a score of 62.7, BUWOG is one of the best employers in the property company segment in Germany.

Daniel Riedl, management board member of Vonovia SE responsible for BUWOG operations in Austria and for BUWOG development in Germany: “As an employer, BUWOG stands for reliability and innovation, also in the implementation of a healthy work-life balance at all of our locations throughout Germany. A positive corporate culture, a solution-oriented, fair working atmosphere as well as modern working methods and processes go hand in hand at BUWOG. We are delighted to receive the award for Best Work-Life Balance 2023 and are proud of our teams, whose expertise and esprit are the foundation for BUWOG’s success.”

To determine the scores, a qualitative-quantitative analysis of online media, platforms and social media networks was carried out for each of the companies evaluated in the “Best Work-Life Balance 2023” study. Both the tonality balance and the reach were determined. The factors “corporate culture” and “working atmosphere” accounted for 40 percent of the overall result. The aspect of “family friendliness” was weighted at 20 percent. A total of around 900,000 mentions and comments were recorded and analysed with the help of AI during the study period from July 2022 to June 2023.
