Pfarrerstöckl
All the greats of Baroque architecture have played a part in the building history of Schloss Hetzendorf: J. B. Fischer von Erlach, J. L. von Hildebrandt, A. J. Ospel, A. Beduzzi and N. von Pacassi. The two-storey west-facing streetside wing (1743) flanks the imposing main axis (palace entrance) and consists of a parsonage, a connecting wing with arcades and an extension from the post-war period. The original fabric of the historic building has been largely preserved, both in its external appearance and in the structure of the interior.
The former imperial pleasure palace is considered the epitome of a feudal garden palace. The complex has been used by the Fashion School of the City of Vienna since 1946 and has been a listed building since 2001. Between 2013 and 2015, the façades were refurbished, the exterior was redesigned and the apartments were carefully integrated into the west wing.
