Apartment building on Mittersteig

The expansive “Ferdinandhof” in Vienna’s Margareten district was designed by the famous architects Gustav Orglmeister and Franz Kupka for Ferdinand Böhm in the Secessionist style and equipped with its own theatre hall, which has been many things in its eventful history: the cinema “Wiedner Grandkino” with 500 seats, a brothel for the Allies, the boxing hall “Athletic-Center” and a concert hall. The “Ferdinand-Saal” has been a listed building since 2012. The façade is characterised by a rusticated zone at ground level. BUWOG has acquired the extensive ensemble and revitalised it for modern residential use.
