The official handover of keys to the new residents of BUWOG’s HALLER project took place on 4 July 2023 in the presence of District Manager Thomas Steinhart. Ideally located on a quiet corner between Simoningplatz and Treppelweg, the recently completed residential complex comprises 127 privately financed apartments. They feature spacious floor plans with accommodating ceiling heights and are based on a well-thought-out concept that promises ample residential comfort. The focus is on extensive communal areas and private open spaces such as balconies and terraces with private gardens for all residents. The extensive greening of the entire complex also harmoniously integrates the buildings into their surroundings.

Andreas Holler, BUWOG’s managing director responsible for development, was there in person to welcome the first new residents and hand over the symbolic key. “HALLER offers sophisticated residential concepts in harmony with nature in an exciting development area in the middle of Vienna. Residents have the chance to enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings, though if you’re up for an adventure, the surrounding greenery and great connections to the city provide for plenty of variety,” Holler says.

District Manager Thomas Steinhart is especially delighted about the new residential space for Simmering. “As district head, I’m quite delighted to see new, quality residential space being built here in Simmering. The completion of the new project on Hallergasse will also promote the development of the area.”

Contemporary and sustainable living

Designed by architectural firm FOAM, the HALLER project is located within walking distance of the two U3 underground stations Zippererstraße and Gasometer, close to a wide range of shopping options and recreational facilities. The area around Hallergasse is currently undergoing a transformation as well, with industry moving out and people of various ages settling into the new residential developments being built in the district. BUWOG’s HALLER project consists of three buildings of four floors each, offering apartments ranging between 51 sqm and 113 sqm with private open areas. The varied façade structure and arrangement of external surfaces such as balconies and bay windows create a fluid appearance that offers depth and space for retreat. What is also special about the project is the preservation of the tree population at the location. The trees were incorporated into the design concept and now provide nearly 1,000 sqm of unpaved open space for rainwater seepage and, of course, for rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The private transport connections are also optimal: the A23 and A4 motorway onramps are just a few minutes away and the city centre can be reached in a mere 20 minutes. The project comes with 79 underground parking spaces, 20 of which can be fitted with intelligent EV charging stations if desired.
