  • The project offers an exceptional combination of portfolio revitalisation and new construction
  • Scheduled completion: at the start of 2027

In the presence of District Councillor Dietmar Baurecht, the team led by architects Eric-Emanuel Tschaikner and Kim Tien of Kenh Architekten ZT GmbH, as well as numerous other project partners, the topping out for the MY.TURN project took place on 7 July on Turnergasse in Vienna’s 15th district. BUWOG Managing Director Andreas Holler extended his thanks to the guests in attendance: “With the topping out for MY.TURN, we have reached a significant milestone for a project that exemplifies forward-thinking urban development. Through a combination of portfolio revitalisation and new construction, modern rental apartments and office/commercial units are being constructed here. Furthermore, we are making a valuable contribution to sustainable infill development. As a result of the excellent location and the combination of living and working under one roof, an attractive living environment is being created here to meet the varied requirements of a modern urban society. As always, our project partners have done a marvellous job and, with enormous expertise, ensured that the structural work could be completed on schedule,” Holler said.

District Manager Dietmar Baurecht called attention to the distinctive characteristics of Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus as a residential district: “The quality of life within one’s own home always goes hand in hand with the local residential environment. The 15th district is a highly diverse, vibrant district, and its neighbourhood communities are what bring it to life. High-quality housing and social justice are important for community life in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus.”

MY.TURN: 72 rental apartments and 11 office and commercial units are being built in a central location in the 15th district.

Balance between life and work

In Vienna’s 15th district, in the area of Turnergasse/Herklotzgasse – nestled amongst trendy cafés, creative start-ups and charming historicist buildings – BUWOG is developing an innovative project that combines living and working under one roof. Whilst the existing buildings on Turnergasse are undergoing extensive refurbishment, a new development is being built on Herklotzgasse. MY.TURN offers a total of 72 privately financed rental apartments with one to four rooms and living areas ranging from approximately 38 to 117 m², as well as 11 office and commercial units. The units are designed so that work and private life complement each other effectively without overlapping. Future residents will have the option to choose between a variety of living environments – from a modern courtyard building with balconies and a green interior courtyard, classic new-build apartments on Turnergasse, to smaller townhouses on Herklotzgasse. The complex’s lower level also features 50 parking spaces for cars, spacious parking areas for over 150 bicycles, and storage facilities.

The project offers a total of approximately 900 m² of office and commercial space. If desired, on the ground floor of the courtyard building, a space of around 500 m² can be combined to form a single large unit. From a large laboratory to a small studio, from a spacious office to a stylish atelier, the possibilities are endless. Access is via the attractive interior courtyard, which also ensures a quiet location. Another space is situated directly on Turnergasse and is ideal for businesses relying on footfall or requiring high visibility. A special feature of MY.TURN is the option to directly combine working and living in some of the units: work on the ground floor and live directly above.

The project’s superb location promises short distances and an environment that fosters both creativity and quality of life. The outstanding public transport links – the underground, tram and bus are all just a few minutes’ walk away – make it easy to reach Vienna’s city centre and other parts of the city quickly. The proximity to Westbahnhof and Mariahilfer Straße not only offers excellent transport links and the opportunity for day trips to the green surrounding areas, but also a wide range of shopping and leisure facilities. Completion of the project is scheduled for early 2027.
