Eighth consecutive brand award: BUWOG is Austria’s strongest brand in new construction

At this year’s REAL ESTATE BRAND AWARDS, BUWOG wins as the strongest brand in the area of residential development.

The EUROPEAN REAL ESTATE BRAND INSTITUTE examines the leading European companies in the real estate industry every year. The largest consumer study of its kind surveys over 109,000 people on their personal experience with over 1,000 brands – from architectural firms to real estate banks to estate agents – and uses this to create a ranking of the most successful players.

This year, BUWOG was awarded for the eighth consecutive time and won the coveted brand award in the competition’s “Developers Residential” class for Austria. The REAL ESTATE BRAND AWARD was presented in a special location: the award gala took place on top of the Reichstag building in Berlin in the rooftop garden restaurant in the German Bundestag and was presented by TV presenter Barbara Schöneberger as well as Harald Steiner, CEO of the REB Institute.

Scientific study examines purchasing decision

 The REAL ESTATE BRAND AWARDS are presented by the EUROPEAN REAL ESTATE BRAND INSTITUTE, the leading platform for the financial and behavioural evaluation of corporate brands in the European real estate industry. The study provides scientifically validated data on brand positioning. Important strategic recommendations for action can be derived on the basis of the results shown. In the largest scientifically recognised brand value study, the EUROPEAN REAL ESTATE BRAND INSTITUTE evaluates more than 500 real estate companies from all sub-sectors and asset classes in 45 European markets in the EUROPEAN REAL ESTATE 500 – the first brand performance index in the European real estate industry.

The basis for calculation is the REB BRAND POTENTIAL MODEL, a brand equity model that combines empirical, scientific, valid, qualitative and quantitative methods. Harald Steiner, CEO of the REB Institute: "As the best residential developer in Austria, BUWOG is characterised by enormous brand strength, regional competence and excellent consulting skills. By adding up all of the positive key figures in the sub-criteria, the brand also receives high scores in for the intention to recommend (recommendation by third parties), achieving a brand value of 92.58.”
