  • 127 privately financed condominiums with 51 m² to 113 m² of residential floor area
  • Well thought-out residential concepts in harmony with nature
  • Green climate through preservation of trees and 1,000 m² of unpaved open space

On 1 September 2022, BUWOG celebrated the topping-out ceremony for its residential project HALLER in the Vienna district of Simmering. BUWOG Managing Director Andreas Holler, responsible for the development, welcomed around 100 guests to the event, where he also expressed his gratitude to the project partners, including Thomas Steinhart, chairman of the Simmering district council, as well as representatives from the FOAM architectural firm responsible for the design of the three buildings. “We are delighted to have completed the structural works for HALLER on schedule, above all thanks to our reliable and competent project partners,” Andreas Holler said. “HALLER offers its future residents well thought-out residential concepts that are in harmony with nature in an exciting urban development zone in the middle of Vienna.” The new residential complex with 127 privately financed condominiums is being built in Hallergasse 8 to 12 in a quiet neighbourhood near Simoningplatz. The focus of HALLER is on large communal areas as well as private open spaces such as balconies, loggias and terraces with private gardens for all residents. Thomas Steinhart inspected the progress of the project for himself and expressed his gratitude for the smooth execution of the construction works. “As district head, I am very happy to see new, quality residential space being built here in Simmering,” Steinhart said, adding, “I am also pleased to see how the construction of projects such as HALLER is helping to promote the development of the area.”

Contemporary and sustainable living

The HALLER project, designed by architectural firm FOAM, is located within walking distance of the U3 underground stations Zippererstraße and Gasometer, close to a wide range of shopping options and recreational facilities. The area around Hallergasse is currently undergoing a transformation, with industry moving away and people of different ages settling into newly built residential developments. BUWOG’s HALLER project consists of three buildings with four storeys each, offering flats sized between 51 m² and 113 m² with private open spaces such as balconies, terraces or private gardens. HALLER is also notable for the preservation of the tree population at the site. The trees were incorporated into the design concept and now provide almost 1,000 m² of unpaved open space for rainwater seepage and, of course, for rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The area also stands out for its convenient private transport connections: the A23 and A4 motorway onramps are only a few minutes away and the city centre can be reached in just 20 minutes. The project comes with 79 underground parking spaces, 20 of which can be fitted with intelligent EV charging stations if desired. Completion is currently scheduled for the summer of 2023.
