‘Haller’ with 127 freehold flats

  • 229 new residential units in “Deck10“ on Laxenburger Straße
  • At “Haller” 127 condominiums near Gasometer
  • District heating, photovoltaics and charging stations for underground parking spaces
  • Currently more than 2,300 apartments under construction in Vienna

BUWOG is further expanding its development portfolio with the launch of two high-quality projects: In Vienna's 10th district, not far from Vienna Central Station, a total of 229 new residential units are being built in “Deck10” at Laxenburger Strasse 2, 138 of which are privately financed rental apartments and 91 of them condominiums. In the neighbouring district of Simmering, ground was recently broken for the “Haller” project at Hallergasse 8 with 127 condominiums. This means that BUWOG currently has 2,351 apartments under construction, with 4,050 more in planning.

“Our two new projects are a perfect complement to our current development portfolio,” BUWOG Managing Director Andreas Holler says. “With our variety of projects in central locations and in areas  of urban expansion, with residential towers, complexes featuring spacious green areas, large neighbourhood developments and smaller, highly personalised facilities, we are fulfilling our claim of offering high-quality and diverse housing options for a vast array of needs.”

Housing and living in the pulsating heart of Vienna

“Deck10”, which is being built in the immediate vicinity of Vienna Central Station, offers outstanding conditions for every living situation with one- to four-room apartments ranging from 37 sqm to 98 sqm in size. Planned by BKK3-Architekten, all 229 of the apartments are equipped with open areas, and future residents will be able to enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the city from the rooftop terrace of the 11-floor project. The community terrace also offers opportunities for urban gardening or BBQ parties with neighbours, family and friends. A co-working space meets all home office requirements and thereby creates the possibility of spatially separating living and working at home.

Moreover, residents have access to a sauna area and an outdoor fitness zone. The energy supply by means of district heating is supplemented by a photovoltaic system. Despite the optimal public transport connections as a result of Vienna Central Station (several suburban railway, tram and bus lines as well as long-distance trains), 78 parking spaces are available for drivers in the building's own underground car park. Completion is scheduled for autumn 2023.

So urban yet so quiet

The “Haller” project was planned by the architectural firm FOAM and is located within walking distance of the two U3 stations Zippererstraße and Gasometer – very close to extensive shopping and recreational facilities. The complex consists of three buildings of four floors each. The apartments are between 50 sqm and 113 sqm in size and all have private open area such as balconies, terraces or private gardens. “Haller” is also characterised by the preservation of the tree population on the site: this was incorporated into the design concept and allows sufficient rainwater infiltration on almost 1,000 sqm of unsealed open space and, of course, relaxation and recreation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The connection to private transport is also optimal: the motorway junctions of the A23 and A4 can be reached in mere minutes, and the city centre can be reached in 20 minutes. There are 79 parking spaces in the underground car park, 20 of which can be equipped with a smart charging station if required. Completion is planned in summer 2023.
