The European Real Estate Brand Institute has named BUWOG the strongest Austrian brand in the “Developer Residential” segment. Marketing and Communication Director Dr. Ingrid Fitzek-Unterberger is CMO of the year.
The Real Estate Brand Institute is the leading platform for the financial and behavioural evaluation of brands in the European real estate industry and annually awards the strongest brands and most influential personalities with a brand diamond. The basis for this is the largest scientific brand study in the property industry, for which this year over 1,500 brands from various subsectors in 45 European property markets were examined and around 150,000 industry experts surveyed. The prizes of the 2024 Real Estate Brand Awards were presented on 4 June 2024 at a festive gala in the historic Telegraph Office near Berlin’s Museum Island.
BUWOG the strongest real estate brand
BUWOG prevailed for Austria as the strongest brand, receiving the coveted brand diamond in the competition segment “Developer Residential”. The institute’s evaluation indicates a brand value of 90.83 – a top score in the industry benchmark. Harald Steiner, CEO of the European Real Estate Brand Institute, explains: “Increased brand strength, a consistently positive product experience and the development of new business areas are what make BUWOG stand out in the planning and realisation of residential real estate. Here, the brand also wins top ratings in recommendations thanks to the sum of all positive assessment criteria.”
Daniel Riedl, member of the management board of Vonovia SE responsible for the entirety of BUWOG operations in Austria and BUWOG development in Germany: “With our quality-oriented product policy, we construct premium-quality new buildings and sustainable neighbourhood developments. The results that people experience and the accompanying communication are clearly a good fit at BUWOG – so we are extremely delighted about this new award.”
Marketing and communication managers also play a critical role in building and maintaining a successful brand. For this reason, the brand study also evaluates the chief marketing officer (CMO) with the highest brand impact score for the award. This year, BUWOG Marketing and Communication Director Dr. Ingrid Fitzek-Unterberger has been honoured as “CMO of The Year, Austria”. Harald Steiner explains the decision: “The outstanding brand impact score results from BUWOG’s holistic brand management in Germany and Austria across the various business areas as well as from the consistent development of existing and new company communication channels under the direction of Dr. Fitzek-Unterberger.”
