BUWOG's new customer and administrative centre emerged as the winner in the category "industrial" at the FIABCI Prix d'Excellence online gala on 26 January 2021. FIABCI is an international real estate association that presents one of the most coveted international awards for construction projects in 28 countries. The FIABCI Prix d'Excellence Austria was initiated in 2018 and is now awarded on a two-year cycle. 

After the 12 projects that were nominated were presented to the audience in brief video sequences via live stream, the golden winners' trophies were presented in five categories (residential, industrial, hotel, heritage, purpose built). BUWOG Managing Director Andreas Holler accepted the award at the winning project on Rathausstraße and was obviously proud in his speech: "After all the encouragement and praise we hear from employees and visitors, it is truly satisfying to receive such an honour on an official basis as well. My thanks go to the entire project team, which has made this extraordinary new building in Vienna's city centre possible with their complete commitment and dedication."

Innovative new building in the heart of Vienna 

Completed in spring of 2020, the new BUWOG location (architecture: the consortium Schuberth Schuberth / Stadler Prenn / Ostertag) was not only compelling with its original external appearance and high-quality interior (interior design: architectural firm Atelier Heiss); from the bright reception area to the stylish bistro, the friendly design of the customer area, the modern office levels to the rooftop terrace with a breathtaking panorama of the city: everything was done here to create the best possible conditions for work. Andreas Holler: "For me as managing director of Development, Rathausstraße 1 is a project that's close to my heart. I'm proud that our modern office has been recognised with this prestigious award for its innovative concepts in architecture and interior design as well as in the areas of sustainability, work-life balance and healthy workplace."

BUWOG's customer and administrative centre has already won the gold certificate from ÖGNI (the  Austrian Sustainable Building Council).
